In general, we follow the terms of the flagship instance. There are no current exceptions, but there is an additional code of conduct on top.

These rules are not a legal document, but rather a framework to give an idea of what sort of behaviour is and is not acceptable here.

The golden rule is to be respectful of boundaries. This covers a lot of things, including:

  • Not deliberately crossing a stated boundary when interacting with someone; if you can't avoid that, don't interact with them.
  • Backing off and apologising where appropriate if a boundary is crossed accidentally.
  • Applying content warnings when something has been identified as a sensitive subject.
  • Visibility is not consent. Nothing about someone's appearance or presentation is an invitation to take particular actions towards them.

Further to this, hate and harassment will not be tolerated. Racism, sexism, and transphobia are not welcome here. Instances promoting these will be suspended.

Whether you're here on in the greater fediverse, if you feel like anyone on this instance has acted towards you in a way not consistent with this philosophy, report it!
